Live online instruction will run over the course of four days from 2:00pm - 4:30pm with an additional 30 minutes of independent work. Note that you are required to attend all four sessions in this series in order to get credit for this class. Supplemental materials will be emailed prior to the course start date.
In this second training session of The Creative Curriculum for Preschool Online series, teachers and caregivers will become familiar with the research related to how preschool children learn mathematical concepts and process skills, examine the components of mathematics that form the basis of instruction, and explore ways to incorporate developmentally appropriate mathematics activities in meaningful ways throughout the day. Participants will also learn how to be intentional as they teach important language and literacy skills and incorporate language-rich, meaningful experiences into everyday classroom practices. Participants should have access to a laptop, tablet, or cell phone with internet connectivity to log into video conferencing program. Participants should have already completed Session 1 prior to taking this class. |
