Research supports the common-sense notion that when five protective factors are well established in a family, the likelihood of child abuse and neglect diminishes. In this interactive and activity-based two-day training, participants will learn about the five factors--Parental Resilience, Social Connections, Knowledge of Parenting and Child Development, Concrete Support in Times of Need, and Social Emotional Competence in Children. These five factors also build family strengths and foster a family environment that promotes optimal child development. |
