This workshop provides teachers and caregivers with Days 3 and 4 of the HighScope Infant and Toddler Curriculum overview. Throughout this interactive training, participants will learn about infant and toddler development through the lens of active learning and the curriculum's content, the Key Developmental Indicators. Teachers and caregivers will learn about the key components of the Infant and Toddler "Wheel of Learning" to assist in implementing high-quality experiences for their young children; strategies for establishing attachment and strong relationships with infants and toddlers; setting up an active learning environment for sensory-motor learners; creating consistent yet flexible schedules and routines for individual children and groups while incorporating active learning; planning and conducting group times for sensory-motor learners; and intentional lesson planning based on children's developmental levels. |
