This training is for Directors, Administrators, Principals, and/or Supervisors. It is an overview of the CLASS assessment tool and how to use it to guide staff in their interactions with young children. During this workshop you will be provided with an overview of the CLASS (Classroom Assessment Scoring System) tool, a research-based observational method of assessing teacher-child interactions. We will discuss the three domains: Emotional Support, Classroom Organization, and Instructional Support. During this overview, participants will learn the framework of CLASS, explore methods which support positive interactions, and discover how small changes make a difference. Participants will be assessed on gained knowledge through active involvement in discussions, activities, and sample classroom assessments. Parking is available in the adjacent lot.
